Welcome
to our web site. The North shore of Oahu is
like a fine wine. If you don't get some now
you might be paying too much or you may never
experience it at all. Property taxes have risen
20% this year alone. Our crushed corral beaches
are unsurpassed. Our rustic atmosphere is so
relaxing. Everybody is catching on. Good or
bad, time flies.
EO House is rich in surf
culture and my family is the third generation
of surfers to accompany this home. Mark Foo
one of the greatest ambassadors to the surfing
world originally rented this house to start
the famous Back packers. Mark invited pro surfers
from around the world to come stay with him
to experience the power of the North Shore.
When I arrived in 1973 a little later Mark
was the first pro to really help me get sponsors.
When the wind blows and a door slams in my
house I always say "what's up Mark." Mark died
doing what he loved doing best, riding a big
ass wave.
The next surfers to own our
house was the Willis brothers. They also came
to challenge the big waves. Milton and Michael's
claim to fame was the invention of the Phaser
hull surfboard. Milton and Michael moved
to California to start a surfing school. Miltons
edition to my home was an awesome shaping
room. A number of famous
shapers from around the world have jumped
in to plow out some boards for a team rider
that might have snapped a whole quiver of boards
in just a few days. A lot of magic is made
here! $10 bucks a shape will get
you in. I added an air brush room and now
I shape, spray and rep for a company named
III STONE HAWAII 3rdStoneHawaii.com. Our
shapers include Randy Sleigh, Tim Barron,
Chris Freed. All three shapers have huge
names riding their boards. One of Randy
Sleigh's most famous riders is Marvin Foster.
I had to mention Marvin because he is the
man. When you get the Question Who inspired
you the most in your life? Mine is hands
down Marvin Foster. From the very first
time I saw him turn around late at Haleiwa
grab his rail and lean forward. I was in
the impact zone. Nobody leans forward!
My hoot echoed off the face of the wave
before my pounding. I was enlightened by
the future of surfing. Marvin got me sponsored
by Glenn Pang and took me to Japan. This
opened my new world. Japan has been one
of the most important aspects to my life.
Marvin also introduced me to the dirt bike
and our beautiful mountains. A form of
my most personal inspiration. A twice broken
back, broken elbow, bruised ribs, concussion,
fractured wrist, impaled shoulder and broken
knee cap. This list does not include my
surfing injuries.
